Put this one on in the morning, give it a mash when you get home at night and Bob’s your uncle. It doesn’t really matter if the slow cooker clicks over to the keep warm setting for a couple of hours before mashing. You’d be hard-pressed to overcook the potatoes – it’s a pretty forgiving recipe.
