Alyce's Flavour Bombs Starter Pack | All Five Blends, One Box

Our flavour blends sold out three years ago. They've been gone ever since, not because we didn't want to keep selling them, but because we couldn't find anyone who could make them at commercial scale the way they're made at home. Every meeting ended the same way: to do it at scale, we'd need to add ingredients we weren't willing to add (MSG, synthetic anti-caking agents, cheaper substitutes).

So Alyce and her mum hired a commercial kitchen and started hand-making small batches themselves. Same recipes. Same ingredients. Same care. Just more of it.

Where we can, we choose organic. All five blends in this pack contain organic ingredients, though not every blend is fully organic. We use organic wherever the blend allows, because it's the right thing by you and your family's health, by the farmers, by the waterways, by the bees.

Organic Flavour Bomb Salt: pink salt, organic tamari (water, organic soybeans, salt), organic mustard seeds, organic spices (garlic, coriander, chilli), liquid smoke. CONTAINS SOY.

Organic No-Chicken Chicken Salt: pink salt, organic coconut sugar, organic spices (garlic, onion, celery), organic nutritional yeast flakes, organic sesame seeds, organic rice flour. CONTAINS SESAME.

No-Bacon Bacon Salt: pink salt, organic coconut sugar, nutritional yeast flakes, organic tamari (water, organic soybeans, salt), liquid smoke, organic sweet paprika. CONTAINS SOY.

Instant Italian Salt: pink salt, tomato flakes, organic coconut sugar, organic tamari (water, organic soybeans, salt), herbs and spices (organic basil, organic garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, organic thyme), nutritional yeast flakes. CONTAINS SOY.

Bolognese Boost Salt: pink salt, tomato flakes, porcini mushrooms, organic herbs and spices (garlic, basil, onion, thyme), raw sugar, organic lemon peel.

What's inside the starter pack?

The starter pack contains one 100 g bag of each of our five flavoured salt blends (Organic Flavour Bomb, Organic No-Chicken Chicken, No-Bacon Bacon, Instant Italian and Bolognese Boost), an introduction card to the range, and five jar stickers, all in a kraft gift box.

Which salt should I start with?

Everyone starts with the Original Flavour Bomb Salt, the all-rounder that started it all. From there the golden rule is simple: wherever you'd reach for plain salt, reach for one of these instead.

Are any of the blends spicy?

No, all five are mild. You'll spot chilli in the Flavour Bomb ingredients list, but it's a very small amount and it's there for savoury depth rather than heat, so it doesn't taste hot. The whole box is safe to sprinkle for everyone at the table, littlest family members included.

Is this suitable as a gift?

Yes, the starter pack comes in a kraft gift box, sealed and ready to give, and just as good to keep.

Does the chicken salt contain chicken? Is it vegetarian?

No chicken in sight: our No-Chicken Chicken Salt is completely plant-based, with all the addictive takeaway-style flavour and none of the chicken. In fact, every blend in this pack is vegan.

Are these salts just for vegans?

Not at all: these blends are for everyone. Every blend is vegan, but plenty of meat-eaters love our No-Chicken Chicken Salt and No-Bacon Bacon Salt, and the Bolognese Boost makes a meat bolognese taste even better, just as it does a vegan or vegetarian one.

Do the salts contain MSG?

No. We never use MSG in any of our products. Every blend in the pack is made with no added MSG, just real ingredients like the ones in your pantry at home.

Do these contain soy or sesame?

Yes, this box contains both. Three of the five blends (Flavour Bomb, No-Bacon Bacon and Instant Italian) contain organic tamari, which is made from organic soybeans, and the No-Chicken Chicken Salt contains organic sesame seeds. The starter pack isn't suitable if you're avoiding either, though the Bolognese Boost Salt on its own contains neither.

Are the salts gluten free?

None of the five blends contains any gluten ingredients, but they're hand-made in a commercial kitchen that also processes gluten products, so they're not certified gluten free and we can't guarantee they're completely free from traces of it.

Are the salts dairy free?

There's no dairy in any of the five blends, and none of our blends contain dairy ingredients. The commercial kitchen we make them in does handle dairy though, so we can't guarantee our blends are completely free from traces of it.

Are the salts organic?

What are the jar stickers for?

The five stickers (one per blend) are for decanting: pop each salt into your prettiest jar, add the matching sticker, and refill it forever.
